Can I reduce my excess?

Yes, the standard excess on all our vehicles is $1500. Please refer to the "Rates" button on the top bar for flat insurance rates to reduce your excess.

Can I pick up or drop off my rental vehicle outside of business hours?

Yes, on pick up or drop off between 22.00 pm and 6.00 am, you will have to pay an after hours service fee of $35. We will still meet you at the terminal. 

Is it possible to rent baby / child / booster seats or GPS navigation systems?

Yes, we can supply any seats for a one off fee of $25! Please refer to the "Rates" button on the top bar for prices, terms and conditions for the GPS.

Can I return my rental vehicle to a location other than Auckland Airport/Depot?

Yes, you can leave your rental vehicle at Hamilton airport, Rotorua airport, Wellington airport and Christchurch airport. If you have another drop off location in mind, please feel free to contact us, seeing as we can be very flexible. Relocation fees will vary depending on the drop off location. Please refer to the "Rates" button on the top bar for applicable rates. Minimum hire period applies. Relocation is only available on request and can not be booked online. Subject to availability

Can we extend our hire?

Yes, if you contact us 2 days prior to your original drop off date, we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.

Are we covered for any mechanical problems?

Yes, every vehicle at Gateway 2 NZ Rental Cars comes with 24 hours AA roadside assistance.

Is there a mileage limit for the rental vehicle?

No, all vehicles come with unlimited kilometers, no matter the hire period.

How far from the airport is your depot located?

Our depot is located within a 5 min drive from Auckland International and Auckland Domestic Airport. Please refer to the "Contact Us" button on the top bar for a detailed map.

Will we be supplied with maps and/or directions?

Yes, we have a wide range of maps and street directories to choose from. Seeing as we have been active in tourism for quite some time now, we can even help you with your itinerary and give you some great tips!
